When you look at the state of our health care system it is a clear reflection of our government. It is bloated, greedy, bureaucratic and authoritarian. But these traits are not inherent in a free market health care system, they are an extension of the situation that health care finds itself in with government, liability issues, and an increasingly burdensome population of low-income, welfare and illegal alien health care recipients. All these problems have been created by Socialism. So, how is it that Hillary or any Dumbocrat thinks that MORE socialism is going to improve the health care situation? That's like fighting fire with gasoline!
BURDENS ON THE HARD-WORKING TAXPAYER
Let's go back and think about tort reform, which hasn't really happened, and lawsuits and insurance costs that are driving doctors out of business and driving up health-care costs. This is just plain corruption of the system. Yes, the death or maiming of a loved on due to a mistake is horrible, and those responsible should have whatever licensing revoked and face criminal charges wherever they are appropriate. But, allowing excessive judgements against hospitals and doctors is an outrage. Don't shut down the whole health care system because of the negligence of a few doctors and nurses. People, you have to be an advocate for yourself or your loved one whenever someone's health is at stake. Get a second opinion, deny doctors the authoritarianism they try to exercise in many cases. This is called taking responsibility for yourself. After all this is the industry that has made childbirth a medical condition, as if to say childbirth is unnatural! Do you really trust them so much?
I feel so sorry for poor Dennis Quaid and his family. Should the hospital be sued? No, the person(s) responsible for the incident should be investigated and criminally charged if necessary, and a medical review board should cast them out of the medical industry. The two baby girls are really victims of this over-medicalization of the completely natural process of childbirth, and the whole process is corrupted by liability issues and lawyers. I wonder how much the hospital charged them for that unneeded overdose that probably will permanently damage, if not kill his children? Enough to cover the cost of the substance for the droves of illegal aliens or welfare mothers that, because of the liability issues involved, have to have the substance administered, lest the hopital be sued. Do you see the sick compounded irony here?
This is another symptom of the same set of problems that we as patients have to deal with. The corruption, the over-medicalization, the arrogance of medicine all in pursuit of more profit. But then that would make socialism the answer, right? WRONG!!! Socialist authoritarianism, indifference and bureaucracy is the ugly step-sister (and her name is Hillary) of the corruption that exists in the health care/insurance/lawsuit-ridden mega-industry of today.
SO, WHAT IS THE ANSWER TO THE HIGH COST OF QUALITY HEALTH CARE?
First, let's all agree that this is really the issue - high cost. And let's all realize that THE PROBLEM IS THE CAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. Now, let's look at the causes:
Problem 1) Tort reform hasn't happened and must happen to reduce excessive and frivolous lawsuits.
Why hasn't it happened? Lawyers have one of the biggest lobbies in congress, therefore congress won't act for real reform.
SOLUTION - VOTE IN A NEW CONGRESS, INSTALL TERM LIMITS AND OUTLAW THE LOBBY.
Problem 2) The socialist-created welfare state and illegal migration populations add billions per year to healthcare costs.
Why hasn't this changed? Congress is beholding to the socialist welfare state it has created to stay in power and to hispanic lobby groups.
SOLUTION - VOTE IN A NEW CONGRESS, INSTALL TERM LIMITS AND OUTLAW THE LOBBY.
Problem 3) The medical and the insurance industries are both sucking the money out of the taxpaying citizen's wallet to maximize profit through authoritarian policies, unneeded procedures and hugely inappropriate costs and bureaucracy.
Why hasn't this changed? The medical and the insurance lobbies are two of the biggest lobbies in congress.
SOLUTION - VOTE IN A NEW CONGRESS, INSTALL TERM LIMITS AND OUTLAW THE LOBBY.
So all we really know is that socialism and corruption have not worked in the health care industry. HOW ABOUT TRYING IT WITHOUT SOCIALISM AND CORRUPTION? Think costs might come down? Of course!
